Nichole's Surgery Update
Thursday, 2 July 2009
7-2 2:55
Nicki has taken two walks today. She is allowed a few ice chips an hour but no tubes hare been taken out. They are concerned that her fluid output from her bladder is not nearly enough. They increased her intake 3 times yesterday but to no avail. They have added something to the IV to help but so far it hasn't helped. This also adds to her discomfort. They have had to change her IV placement 3 times already, right arm, left arm, right arm.

Nichole:

Keep walking. It did the most for my recovery. I'm still weak from Alaska. Slept in late today and need a midday nap to finish.

If I wern't soo sick myself I'ld come up for a visit.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear you are able to walk some.  We are praying for you.  I sent uncle Earl this web site so that he can keep up with your recovery.  I know it is hard to be patient but it does take time to heal from a surgery like you have just gone through.  Rest! Rest! is what will help the most.  Tom's surgeon told him to never let the pain get ahead of the medication.  Take it before you are hurting too bad.  It only takes longer for it to start working if you do.  Janice, I have kept Daddy updated with the comments so far.  Thsi is a cool way to keep everyone informed.  Love to all of you.   Linda and Tom
